My friend thought this was too personal to post so I stole it from her.

Anniversary Well, my kids were so excited by our anniversary and made cards for us. We dropped them off at a friend's house to play and went out to dinner. Dinner was fab and we had great conversation. Too bad I drank so much wine I don't remember most of it. What I do remember is us fighting over getting a kitten. I have always had a cat and our last one died in December (thanks for dying at Christmas!!) so I have been wanting another. A friend of mine took in a stray who blessed them with kittens. Whooo Hoooo--- free kittens said the kids. What would be free? The $50 to spay/neuter them? The $130 shots? The food? The sitter when we are out of town? Well, that MIGHT be free. So these are the points DH brings up. I'm like, well, I want one anyway. OMG was he an ass. From we can't afford it, to it'll get run over, to I don't want it in the house, the argument escalated until he blamed my friend for even having the cats!! Oooooh. Now I'm REALLY pissed. So I don't speak and make that "I don't like you face". As we unload the kids and get them ready for bed I don't speak. As we watch tv I don't speak. Except to ask the kids do they have their hags packed (referring to Fall break trip but alluding to jumping in the car and racing away to nowhere). They know something is up between us. When it is just us and the television, he begans to massage me and I'm so buzzed I just lay there. As the agument went no further and the sex lasted half as long as the agument our anniversary comes to an end. 12 years and still able to fuss about nothing. But I AM getting a cat. So there!
